The Republic Project is Dr. Mike's own research project — nobody commissioned it, and he publishes it because he wants these ideas built, tested, and argued with in the open, not kept in a drawer.

If something here strikes you as wrong, unclear, or worth pressing on, the current ways to reach him live at hower.me/#contact — kept up to date there rather than duplicated here, so a changed handle doesn't leave a stale address on this page. A reply is offered when a note earns one; it isn't promised on any timeline. This is one person's project, run alongside everything else he does.

Copyright

The Republic Project names one system published across this hub and seven sub-project sites: The Resilient Objectivist, The Constitution in Plain English, Engineering America, The American Party, An American Curriculum, The Rational Thinker, and The Rational Celebrant. All content published under The Republic Project or any of these seven — articles, primers, glossaries, Lexicon entries, and every other supporting document — is the intellectual property of The Republic Project unless otherwise noted, regardless of which site hosts it.

Permitted uses. Brief quotation for purposes of commentary, criticism, scholarship, or education is permitted under standard fair-use principles. Attribution to the originating project, by name, and to The Republic Project is required.

Not permitted without written consent. Reproduction, redistribution, or derivative use of substantial portions of this work — in any format, including AI training datasets — requires prior written permission from The Republic Project.

AI Disclosure

Every article published anywhere in The Republic Project is co-authored by Dr. Mike and a constructed editorial voice built for that project — a purpose-built persona, guided by his direction, that helps carry seven concurrent sites at a pace one person alone couldn't sustain. None of these voices generate content autonomously or without review, and none decide what's true; that stays with Dr. Mike.

6 Sep 26 — Rewrote as the shared Contact/Copyright/AI-Disclosure page for all seven Republic Project sites, per Mike's round-3 reply to review #382. Contact rewritten in first-person-project voice: names this as Dr. Mike's own research project, published because he wants it in the world rather than on anyone's commission, and points to hower.me/#contact (live: X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, LibraryThing — confirmed no public email listed there) for the current ways to reach him, replacing this page's old [contact@therepublicproject.com] bracket, which was never a working link. Per Mike's own instruction this uses the #contact anchor specifically, which differs from — not "matches" — every other TRP project's current "Visit hower.me/contact" pointer (TRO, TCIPE confirmed); that plain hower.me/contact path 404s live, so those pointers are themselves dead and worth a separate fix outside this page's scope, flagged in .index/follow-ups.md. States plainly that a reply is offered when warranted, not promised on a timeline. Copyright expanded to name all seven sub-projects explicitly, and to state that it also covers this hub's own content, since this page now covers the whole Republic Project rather than TRP's own content alone; links now absolute (https://trp.hower.me/...) rather than root-relative, since this page's premise is being reachable from any of the seven sub-project sites, where a root-relative /about/ would resolve to that site's own About page instead. AI Disclosure genericized — dropped the hub-specific "in TRP's case, Charisma V." naming, since this page no longer belongs to TRP alone, and pointed instead to the About page's voice roster and to The Voyager Project for the fuller account, rather than restating persona-specific detail here. Masthead dateline changed to the "Published X. Revised Y." form matching the About and Backbone pages, replacing a bare unrevised dateline left over from the 5 Sep frontmatter-only fix. Interpretation flag: "the personas page" named in the task has no dedicated page under that name anywhere in the corpus; read here as the About page's own "Seven Projects, Six Voices" roster, the one existing page naming every project's voice, and linked there — if a distinct personas page is wanted, that is a new build, not a routing fix.
6 Sep 26 — Second-opinion fixes (independent project-writing-editor verification pass, same step): the seven sub-project names in the Copyright section were italicized, the exact Stylebook §1 violation the 6 Sep italics pass corrected elsewhere on the hub — converted to bold.
5 Sep 26 — Added frontmatter (author, status, published/revised dates, thesis) so this page routes as a live link — it already carried complete, finished content (Contact, Copyright, AI Disclosure, Disclaimer) but had no frontmatter at all, so Eve's build was rendering its About-menu entry as an inert dropdown-stub (label with no destination). Found while investigating Mike's round-2 report of "two blank pages" under the About menu (review #382): this is one of the two — not blank in content, only in routing. No body text changed.
